Fondazione Achille Sclavo becomes member of the United Nations
Sustainable Development Network.
On October 1st the Executive Committee of the SDSN Leadership Council approved the
membership of the Fondazione Achille Sclavo in the Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The U.N. Sustainable Development Network is open to universities, scientific research institutes,
civil society organizations, technology companies, science-oriented foundations, and other
institutions that have deep expertise in one or more areas related to sustainable development, and
who commit a substantial amount of their own technical and research work towards finding and/or
implementing solutions for sustainable development.
The Fondazione Achille Sclavo will be supporting the Network in the fight against infectious
diseases, particularly the neglected diseases of poverty still claiming the lives of about 5 million
children under age 5 every year, leaving million others marked by sequels for the rest of their lives.
