The Fondazione Achille Sclavo is a fully not-for profit entity engaged exclusively in initiatives targeted to social solidarity in the sector of scientific research for specific social purposes, as defined by the Presidential Decree 20th March 2003, n.135 and in line with the new regulations introduced by the new Third Sector Code, Legislative Decree n. 117 of 2017.
La Fondazione Achille Sclavo was established in 2011 with the objective to accelerate the availability of neglected vaccines for Low-Income Countries (LICs).
The Foundation in these 10 years has been contributing in a concrete way to the progress of vaccines towards fruition and to training health personnel to support disadvantages populations.
The Foundation has recently adopted a wider, holistic Planetary One Health Vision, including bothOne Health in its narrow meaning as well as Planetary Health (1), concentrating on the connections between Health (with specific reference to infectious diseases), nutrition and sustainability to fight poverty.
In the Sclavo Foundation we carry forward this Vision capitalizing on our technical and scientific knowledge, addressing both aspects of research and training.
