The recent SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, after Avian Flu, Ebola, SARS and MERS has stressed even more the interactions between health, nutrition, agriculture and sustainability, and how these interactions, if not adequately addressed, may cause global social and economic crises and poverty.
This is the reason why the Foundation adopted the Planetary One Health Holistic Vision (1), concentrating its efforts in pursuing the connection between good health (with specific reference to the prevention of infectious diseases), nutrition and sustainability to fight poverty.
We pursue this Vision using local and global scientific and technical knowledge present in our Foundation, addressing both research and training needs.
