At the same time epidemics like the one caused by the SARS-CoV-2 have been caused by an irresponsible use of our planet’s resources: by destroying their natural habitat, some animal species got in close contact with humans, transmitting zoonosis subsequently spread through human beings, like SARS-CoV-2or Ebola. In this perspective a renewed holistic attention to the management of natural resources, agriculture and nutrition becomes an instrument to protect global health with greater efficacy that a mono-disciplinary approach alone.
